I believe that the Federal Government should hold a referendum on the rewording, erasing or maintaining of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
The ambiguity of this amendment has caused much confusion and misleading interpretations which have fuelled right wing politics and tainted the mandate for the immensely political NRA.
There are too many political cowards for this agenda to be left up to United States Congress, it is time that politics is put back into the hands of the people. America needs a clear and concise definition of the legality of firearms, and what better to gage public opinion by putting it to a vote.
