All citizens of this country are concerned with the uncontrolled proliferation of guns and subsequent gun related violence.
Recently the US Government negotiated a compromise with the nation of Iran as it relates to nuclear weapons.
If we can negotiate a compromise with an intractable foreign nation to control nuclear weapons, we can certainly negotiate with our own citizenry to find a solution to "the gun problem."
We propose a summit with the White House and the NRA along with Congressional leadership to develop a workable solution to the "gun violence problem."
Truly, if all parties can sit down and discuss the problem, something can be done to protect the rights of gun owners and also protect our brothers and sisters from gun violence.
