Whereas defining the fertilized egg as a person implies that the two individuals of a pair of identical twins are together a single person, an amendment is needed to protect the rights of such twins. I therefore propose a Twin's Rights Amendment to the Constitution of the United States:
Whereas identical twins are entitled to be recognized as separate persons, and defining the fertilized egg as a person implies that the two individuals of a pair of identical twins are together a single person, no legislation may imply that the two individuals of any set of twins are together one person.
