The World Health Organization has diligently played an important role in improve public health across the globe. They facilitate standardization, advocate evidence-based policy, help shape the health research agenda, and report on health trends.
The efforts to improve health are intended to increase quality of life, as much as it is to extend that life. Research demonstrates that quality of life also has an impact on health and health care outcomes. The laser focus on health, while largely ignoring the happiness component of quality of life is a great disservice to the global community.
So join us in asking that the world start to consider health and happiness as two sides of the same coin, inseparable and complimentary. Join us in creating the World Health and Happiness Organization.
