Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

Created by H.D. on September 25, 2013

We the people, call upon those elected to lead and serve us to ratify the following as the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

Our government is founded on, “For the people, by the people”. Meaning, the elected leaders are put in place to fill one obligation above all others, to serve the people who elected them into office. In recent history, our legislators have moved away from acting as our nation’s servants. Adding this to our constitution will restore faith in our leaders.
