SECTION 1.
No person shall be elected to the office of U.S. Senate more than twice. And no person shall, under any circumstances, serve as a U.S. Senator for more than fourteen years.
SECTION 2.
This Article shall not affect anyone serving as a U.S. Senator at the time of its ratification.
SECTION 3.
This Article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an Amendment to the Constitution, as prescribed by Article 5 of the Constitution, within seven years of its submission to the States by the Congress.
