Prosecute BP Oil for the toxic effects of Corexit to sink the oil spill. BP poisoned marine life; destroyed food/jobs.

Created by P.M. on May 23, 2014

Chemical dispersants were sprayed in unprecedented quantities in the Gulf as part of the response to the BP oil spill. The dispersant Corexic was used to sink the oil to the bottom. Dispersed oil has been shown to be toxic to fish at all life stages, from eggs to larval fish to adults. The toxic effects of these dispersants on marine life and humans provide yet another illustration of the dangerous environmental impact of offshore oil drilling. BP's reckless "solutions" and lies before and since the oil spill should be viewed as criminal.
