Dubai has a policy of imprisonment for pre-marital sex. This policy is taken to the absurd when women are drugged, gang-raped, and sentenced to imprisonment. Often their attackers are either not found and/or released from prison on the same day as their victim.
Doing a simple search online will reveal countless instances of this. Dubai has an active marketing campaign to recruit western tourists. However, often the victims mentioned here are western tourists or business people. Western nations should take steps to prevent these atrocities.
