James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, lied to Congress during an open session on March 12th. Sen. Ron Wyden asked him, “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?” to which James Clapper answered "No, sir. Not wittingly. There are cases where they could, inadvertently perhaps, collect -- but not wittingly."
According to Sen. Wyden, Mr. Clapper was informed beforehand that the question would be asked and then after the hearing he was given an opportunity to amend his statement, which he declined.
Subsequent revelations and information shows that James Clapper perjured himself in front of Congress. He should be prosecuted for his crime.
