Eleven days before a presidential election, James Comey, Director of the FBI, violated DOJ guidelines by sending an email to Congress informing them of details of the Clinton email server investigation. This is the second time Comey has inappropriately shared information about an ongoing investigation, both times about Clinton, while refusing to make any statement about the FBI's investigations into Trump's possible ties to Russian espionage. Senator Feinstein, Attorney General Lynch, Deputy AG Yates, and former Director of DOJ Public Affairs Miller have stated that Comey breached DOJ guidelines and his duty as Director. Comey, a Republican, acted in bad faith in using his position to influence the election. This is a violation of the Hatch Act, and Comey should be prosecuted for it.
