Eleven days from a presidential election, James Comey, Director of the FBI, sent an email to House Republicans informing them of details of the Clinton email server investigation. This is the second time Comey has inappropriately shared information about an ongoing investigation, both times about Clinton, while refusing to make any statement about the FBI's investigations into Trump's possible ties to Russian espionage. As a Republican who inappropriately informed only House Republicans about an ongoing investigation, Comey was clearly attempting to influence the election. Both Senator Feinstein and the former Director of DOJ Public Affairs have declared this an act of bad faith, a breach of the duties of a Director, and a violation of the Hatch Act. James Comey should be prosecuted.
