Former Astronaut Mark Kelly husband of Gabriella Gifford, a former Representative from the state of Arizona who together started a political action group to finance anti-gun legislation attempted to commit a "Straw Purchase" at a gun store in the state of Arizona. On the application to purchase the firearm he lied and said he was the actual transferee and actual buyer of the firearm. He stated several times after filling the paperwork out that he was not purchasing the firearm for himself. Had anyone else done this they would have been prosecuted. Mark Kelly is no exception.
