Prosecute Michael Hayden for Perjury

Created by M.D. on December 10, 2014

Former CIA director Michael Hayden broke the trust of the American people by lying to Congress during his testimony on enhanced interrogation techniques on 12/11/2007.

We therefore urge the Department of Justice to uphold their mission by filing charges for perjury against former CIA director Michael Hayden, who lied to Congress and the American people in his testimony about the CIA's "enhanced interrogation program". There are three criminal statues that address false statements to Congress that Hayden violated.
a. The general perjury statute (18 USC 1621)
b. The general obstruction of justice statute (18 USC 1505)
c. The General False Statements Statute (18 USC 1001)
We urge the Department of Justice to fulfill its duty to the American people.
