The New York Police Department brutally assaulted hundreds of peaceful demonstrators on Wall Street multiple times since the beginning of the OccupyWallStreet event. This is unacceptable. If we cannot trust the law enforcement, and if the law enforcement is not here to serve the people, then we need not recognize the police as public servants, but instead as agents of tyranny and fear, who are not to be trusted, respected, or obeyed.
