We, the People, in order to prove to the world that rich and powerful people are not above our laws, do hereby request the Administration and the Dept. of Justice to file criminal charges against George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for willingly, and with aforethought, violating International treaties against torturing prisoners of war. It is incumbent on our legal system to prove to its own citizens, and the world, that the United States takes these violations seriously. We have no standing or credibility on the world stage to admonish other nations for inhumane treatment of human beings if we are willing to turn a blind eye to the egregious violations of International Law in our own country. The rule of law must be shown to be equal among all men. The world requires this of us.
