Protect American jobs and consumers by requiring internet, TV and catalog vendors to reveal product countries of origin.

Created by K.R. on February 17, 2012

Many of us try hard to find American-made goods in order to support our country's manufacturing sector and American jobs, and to reject products from countries that exploit workers and disregard consumer safety. Internet, catalog and TV shopping offers a convenient alternative to in-store shopping for many people. However, it is usually difficult and sometimes impossible for consumers in these markets to learn where products are made. So that consumers may make informed decisions, vendors should be obligated to clearly state where a product was manufactured along with the product description. If it's clear to someone that he or she would be buying a product from another country, (s)he might defer, and instead choose the product that's made in the U.S.A.
