The US Government, in an effort to save citizens' lives, is focused on banning those things that would harm us. Currently, this focus is on firearms in the wake of yet another mass shooting.
Based on data from the Center for Disease Control, in 2009, 11,504 people were killed via homicide by firearm. Meanwhile, 34,485 were killed in automobile accidents.
This petition requests congress focus their energy where it would make more impact. BAN AUTOMOBILES IMMEDIATELY.
An immediate ban would save lives, reduce our independence on oil, and force a more healthy nation as walking and bicycle riding would increase overnight.
