Protect American School Children

This petition will approve funding from the federal government to require, at minimum, one armed law enforcement officer stand as a defensive force at each school in every state across the United States. The government requires that children attend school therefore they should be required to protected them during regular academic hours. The intention of the dedicated officer will be to stand as a deterrent, a quick response leader to violent acts, perform routine security assessments and follow up on reported threats to their assigned school. This would be limited to elementary, middle and high schools. Failure of local districts to use monies strictly for this purpose could put other funding in jeopardy.
