People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are becoming more common. Before, only one out of five people were diagnosed with it. And more will be coming - it is believed that by 2050, about one quarter or one third of the US population alone will be autistic. Now many autistics face growing hatred, threats and harmful actions including loss of medical insurance, robberies, rapes, homicides, threat-assisted suicides, etc.
Autistic individuals have many beautiful things to give our world - inventions, insights, creativity, etc. - and ways to improve the world and make it better than it was before... if the world will let them. We must take action to empower autistics by giving them proper protection, representation, benefits and jobs that fit their abilities. ACT NOW!
