The right of gun ownership is increasingly under attack, and we the people know that our defense requires us to be able to keep our guns and be able to use them in a time of need.
Many citizens who are against the ownership of guns do not understand that eliminating legal distribution and usage of weapons will not make us safer. Prohibition of any item has historically tended to backfire, such as alcohol or drugs. When a criminal wants something, they will get it whether or not they're allowed to -- criminals, by definition, don't obey the law. They don't care if guns are outlawed or not; that just means the populace would be much less able to defend themselves.
We the people hereby petition the Administration to halt its current push to ban or restrict use of firearms or ammunition.
