The Badger-Two Medicine just south of Glacier National Park Montana is sacred land to the Blackfeet people, critical wildlife habitat for all species of the North Rocky Mountain Ecosystem and an important headwaters area for the entire Upper Missouri watershed. It is one of the last areas of the lower 48 where both rare and common animal and plant species can flourish and persist unmolested. In a rapidly warming climate the area serves as a critical refugium for the genetic diversity of species and serves an a critical reservoir for migratory and resident wildlife in Glacier National Park. Oil and gas leases have no place in such an invaluable and remarkably beautiful ecosystem. Ban gas and oil leases in this permanently and protect it from future leases.
