In 2012, 33,561 people were killed and 2,362,000 people injured in the estimated 5,615,000 police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes. When car accident victims try to get coverage for their injuries, or from the death of a loved one, insurance companies engage in deception and trickery to minimize the injuries victims receive in car accidents -- and therefore minimize how much the insurance company will have to pay on the claim. Claims adjusters are trained to blame the car accident on the victim when they know it was their insured driver's fault, to blame the injuries on other reasons when they know it is from the accident, to accuse victims of exaggerating their suffering, and to threaten doctors if doctors try to substantiate the injuries received from the accident. Stop the abuse!
