Protect commerce in the 21st century by overhauling archaic Patent and Copyright Laws

Created by W.O. on May 27, 2014

The current patent and copyright laws are jokes, relics of a bygone era. The current Copyrights Law was made in 1970, and was last updated in 1998 with the "Digital Millennium Copy Rights Act".

Patent Law allows Amazon to quite literally Patent taking photos on a white background: http://gizmodo.com/amazons-revolutionary-new-patent-taking-photos-on-a-w...

Copyright Law is so badly messed up, that King "trademark" the term "Candy", and set off a series of ridiculous events that had King attacking others games with no relation whatsoever to the trademark or King's product:

Please, help end this mess. These laws need to be overhauled for future commerce.
