Protect the disabled from losing their rented home from landlords that refuse to maintain the physical property or refuse to provide a lease. Those on disability should automatically receive Section 8 or similar low-cost rent and not be subject to the greed based rental system.
while the MacArthur Foundation is helping to revitalize the physical rental stock in Chicago, there remains the rest of the United States to revitalize. Certainly decent housing is necessary, but not if those with disabilities are asked to leave only to be able to afford the poorly maintained housing.
