The U.S. should take action independent of the IWC to place sanctions and trade penalties on nations that commercially sell and trade whale products, specifically Iceland, Japan, and Norway.

To stop commercial whaling, lobby the IWC to close loopholes allowing whale products from whales killed under scientific permits to be sold commercially.
