Protect The Entirety of The Arctic from Both Exploitation and Global Warming.

The Arctic is critical to many ecosystems in the world, yet it is melting so quickly that by 2050, it will be completely void of all ice. This would be destructive to not only the hundreds of animals for whom the Arctic is their only viable home, but also to cities that will be destroyed due to rising sea levels. Recently, President Obama has blocked off 125 million acres of the Arctic waters as indefinitely restricted from oil drilling- a step in the right direction. However, this is only a fraction of the Arctic. Over 2 BILLION more acres of the Arctic is still unprotected. This petition serves to ask President Obama to protect all of the Arctic before Earth is ruined further. Sign- it is only up to those who live in the present to save those of the future.
