The NYT describes two existing plans to develop the Grand Canyon (A Cathedral Under Siege, Aug. 9, 2014). These plans are immediate threats to the natural wonder of this place, but they are neither the first, nor will they be the last. We ask the Administration to step in and not allow the desecration of a national treasure. There is a place and time for kitsch and fun rides. The Grand Canyon, and places like it, should never be allowed to go that route.
