Protect federal student aid money and veterans benefits from For-Profit universities and eBook publishers

Created by T.P. on September 14, 2014

For-Profit universities are already prevented from receiving too much federal money through student loans, however they have found a way around this by targeting our nation's veterans as well as our nation's Pell grant recipients.

A recent court case between the 5 largest book publishing groups, Apple, and 33 State Attorneys General over the raising and fixing of eBook prices show universities are not able to engage in fair negotiations for price when publishing groups can engage in conspiracy to rip off consumers.

For-Profit Universities should be prevented from receiving federal money if they force students to purchase license agreements with publishing groups.

Students should be able to engage in the free market to contract their resources needed to study.
