It is the Right of any group, organization or individual to speak freely without fear of reprisal or censorship under the 1st amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. It is the agenda of a few D.C. Council members to infringe upon the 1st amendment Rights of the Washington Redskins by forcing, by means of legislation, to change their franchise name. Namely, Council members David Grosso (I), Kenyan McDuffie (D- Ward 5), Muriel Bowser (D- Ward 4) have discussed cosponsoring this unconstitutional resolution.
It is the main responsibility of any elected office to first uphold and protect the Constitution.
