Protect the Freedom OF Religion as stated by the United States Constitution Amendment #1.

This petition is for the U.S. Government to enact the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The amendment states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech..." Yet our government has prohibited freedom of religion in schools and public office buildings, when it should be encouraging ALL religious freedoms be exercised. By prohibiting ALL religions from having prayer in school, the U.S. government is sponsoring the Atheist religion. This religion is recognized as per the case KAUFMAN v. McCAUGHTRY in the U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th District. Therefore, we request the federal government to allow prayer, in any form,by its citizenry in all locations sponsored by federal funding.
