Protect the full Tule Lake Japanese Internment site & preserve access for all to the complete site. Build no barriers.

The FAA proposes to build a fence that will desecrate the physical and spiritual aspects of Tule Lake. Site tours would no longer be possible, and visitors could no longer experience the dimension and magnitude of the internment camp. This concentration camp has been designated a National Monument and should have full protection as part of the National Park Service, with continued access for visitors to all parts of the site. The proposed fence will eliminate access to the full internment camp. This is an important, historical site that is part of all Americans' history.
There is scant evidence of deer wandering onto the runway or human interference with crop duster planes, arguments cited by proponents of the fence. 18,000 people were imprisoned here, a fence will echo their pain.
