Protect gas station employees like Jessica Heeringa from abduction and robbery making surveillance systems mandatory

Created by A.J. on April 30, 2013

Gas station attendants have one of the most dangerous jobs in America. On 4/26 Jessica Heeringa, 25 year old mother, was abducted from her workplace at Sternberg Exxon Mobil, Muskegon MI. The mother is still missing. The owner of the franchise was warned years ago after an accident to get a surveillance system but decided that the cost was too high and did not listen to police. If there had been proper surveillance and the 5'1 female had not been working alone maybe Jessica would be safe now. Please make it a law that all gas stations be properly equipped with security systems as they would deter other abductions/robberies and also help the police find the suspect more easily. The attendants deserve to be protected and this needs to be prevented in the future.
