PROTECT GRAY WOLVES IN WYOMING UNDER THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT by reversing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decision

Created by J.M. on November 14, 2012

Any decision to delist wolves from federal protections must be based on science. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reversed its former stand and now supports Wyoming's intention to eradicate wolves without the use of science. The state has no "management" plan that would maintain a viable wolf population. Support wolf restoration in the Northern Rockies and protect the progress that has been made, by the Federal Government, in wolf recovery. Wyoming has indicated it will have "open season" on gray wolves. This petition calls on the President to protect, under the ESA, existing wolves in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana and support a full recovery of this important wildlife.
