The Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef system, a unique and beautiful landmark. The Great Barrier Reef located in the Coral Sea contains more than 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands. The Great Barrier Reef greatly threatened by poor water quality from dumping, pollution from mining, chemical runoff. But it doesn't stop there, the beautifully vast reef is exposed to more and more threats such as climate change, over fishing, shipping route collisions and disruption, oil spills and much more. Much natural beauty on land has been sacrificed to our "needs" of every natural resource we can suck dry off the earth. The ocean and its beauties are one of the very last places left unknown and untouched by the destructive forces of humans. Protect some of our last natural beauty!
