Vaping is a tool that has helped many Americans stop smoking tobacco. I quit after 25 years of smoking. Studies in Great Britain have determined vaping to be 95 percent safer than smoking tobacco, and even suggest the practice should be encouraged to help people stop smoking. But the Food and Drug Administration's new deeming regulations threaten to drive the vaping industry out of business. This is truly a bipartisan issue. Democrats who worked hard to pass the ACA to improve the health of Americans should stand firmly with American consumers on this issue of health and consumer choice. Republicans should act to save small businesses from excessive regulation.
