Protect journalism. News outlets/channels that provide more commentary rather than news should be labeled as such.

Created by K.N. on February 07, 2012

We purchase cable television. We tune into channels on Cable TV looking for honest News sources that we pay for. The current line up of 24 Hour News Channels provide actual news in very small percentages, rather, they provide commentary and opinions on the news most of the day. The consumer is left with a hosts opinion on the news rather than just factual journalism. These channels should be labeled as entertainment or opinion channels rather than News Outlets. Calling themselves strictly "News" is false advertising. Protect the consumer rights and make pay channels label their channels/shows what they really are so the consumer is not mislead. It is false advertising and fraud.
