We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Protect the livelihood of our Service Men and Women and grant them the compensation they deserve

Created by P.H. on June 11, 2016

This petition seeks to uphold our nation's duty to our Service Men and Women of the Armed Forces by demanding that congress refrain from cutting existing military compensation, specifically the Basic Allowance for Housing , for Active Duty members, Guard and Reserve members, and Veterans utilizing the post 9/11 GI Bill. If we are to truly honor their duty, we owe it to them to provide good compensation to show our respect and gratitude for their service. And should any provision that would reduce military compensation pass through congress, we the people demand that the President as the Commander of the Armed Forces would swiftly veto it, as is his duty to the millions of members that have volunteered to defend this nation and follow under his command.
