Pres Obama should do the following to calm racial tensions and protect the lives of police and citizens 1 State that almost all police are good, just people who aren't racist. 2 Call on Americans to respect and obey police. 3 Note that many times more blacks are killed by other blacks than by police. 4 Condemn NYC Mayor de Blasio for saying that his son has to be afraid of police and for failing to condemn death threats to police. 5 Condemn Al Sharpton for failing to denounce calls to kill police. The pres should say that Sharpton’s hostile, inciting and at times racist rhetoric has, at least three times, contributed to atmosphere that led to murder. The pres. should stop associating w/ Sharpton. 6 Order DOJ to cancel all settlements/lawsuits that lower police's ability to defend citizens.
