The evidence shows us that profit-driven health care raises costs and lowers quality of care. It’s unhealthy for the 99%; only CEOs and stockholders benefit. The health care economy – like the overall economy – has more than sufficient resources to take care of 100%, but the resources are siphoned off by profit-driven corporations in the interest of the 1%.
We petition the White House and Congress to not only stand with the majority of Americans against any cuts in Medicare, but also to expand and improve Medicare to cover everyone. We also petition the White House and Congress to reject corporate lobbying attempts to hold our health care delivery system hostage by discrediting evidence-based health policies such as a single payer reform.
