To protect Net Neutrality, reclassify internet access services as telecommunication services instead of their current classification as information services. This will allow the FCC to properly protect Net Neutrality and the free and open web. Without strong protections, there is nothing stopping internet providers such as Comcast and Time-Warner from intentionally slowing connections to certain websites. For example, NBC, owned by Comcast, competes with services like Netflix. Without consumer protections for Net Neutrality, what is to stop Comcast from slowing down its customers connection to Netflix to discourage it's use?
