As a symbol of Americanism and freedom, like the American Bald Eagle, we should protect this great symbol with the utmost regard. The flag should not be degraded or molested because one simply disagrees with government. This symbol should never be burned, stepped on, defaced, or touch the ground. I, along with many other veterans, fought for this flag and for what it means. It should be held in the highest honor even when in disagreement, for this flag's symbol gives all Americans those rights and freedoms that makes the U.S.A. what it is.
