the right to bear arms is a unalienable human right and an american tradition. any law that infringes on that right is an affront to every law abiding gun owner's right to self defense. so called "assault weapons" are no different and don't actually differ from any other firearm. I understand that some citizens are opposed to the private ownership of firearms, and I invite them to simply not purchase them and stop trying to take away the rights of people who disagree with them.
