Protect our children. Fund public schools to hire security officers and require private schools to do the same.

It's time for real change that works. New gun control policies like more strict background checks are great ideas. However, laws and policies do not stop criminals. Common sense would state that if laws worked for everyone there would be no criminals. Funding a security officer in each and every public school in the United States and requiring private schools to hire their own will not only discourage any criminals from entering to harm our children, but also create a much higher chance of their survival in the event that a school is attacked. Funding such a program will show real concern for the safety of our children. Fund this program. Protect our children. Stop relying on new laws because, let's face it, the guns that shall remain legal are just as lethal as the ones that shall not.
