Protect our drinking water and environment by more closely regulating hydraulic fracturing.

Created by J.D. on October 29, 2011

Many hail the recent discovery of natural gas throughout the United States as the next big source for energy, but what they may not realize is the toll that the process of hydraulic fracturing takes on the environment and those who live and work near the drilling wells. The process is highly unregulated and the EPA has done little to protect many negatively affected by the process and the industry which employs it. Though natural gas may have a place in our country and world's future energy policy, the process of hydraulic fracturing is currently causing an immense amount of damage to humans, animals, and our ecosystems and must be more closely monitored and regulated.
