Many hail the recent discovery of natural gas throughout the United States as the next big source for energy, but what they may not realize is the toll that the process of hydraulic fracturing takes on the environment and those who live and work near the drilling wells. The process is highly unregulated and the EPA has done little to protect many negatively affected by the process and the industry which employs it.
