America is not just a collection of people. Our lands are rich with species of birds and mammals, beneficial plants, forests, water supplies and crops that keep us alive.
The State Department impact statement for Keystone is shameful and assessments for endangered species are incomplete.
On the page assessing risks for the interior least tern, the report states that the area in Nebraska was flooded, so they were unable to determine pipeline threats to the species.
Land is being taken from American farmers. Emissions from Tar Sands oil are 2-3 times higher than from conventional gas and oil.
This is unacceptable. We were promised action on climate from our President. Please keep your promise to us.
