Many email and social web sites are demanding cell phone numbers from even established and verified accounts. Many people do not have cell phones, cannot use them, or protest yet another invasion of our privacy. The terms of service of most of these sites state that they believe they have the right to sell or trade our information. They should not be able to force users to give up personal information under these (or any) circumstances.
