As a hard worker of just $2.13 an hour, my income depends solely on the generosity of my guest. With the loss of auto gratuity on large parties, my income has dropped tremendously! The auto gratuity was not to punish guest but to protect servers and bartenders that work hard to ensure the guest enjoy their experience. Its frustrating when you've given a group the best experience and it is overlooked and unappreciated. We as servers have to tip out other positions, such as bartenders and bussers, not based on how much we make, but how much we sell. Please change the IRS ruling and give restaurants the right to have auto gratuity added to large party checks. Please protect our servers and bartenders or allow us to make REAL wages like most hourly jobs do because $2.13 doesn’t pay the bills.
