Protect Our Right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness by Banning Private Ownership of Firearms.

Created by J.P. on April 05, 2012

Gun violence in America must end. In 1999, America was shocked and disgusted by the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado. Since then America has seen incident after incident of gun violence taking place at high schools, college campuses, and even political events.

In 2010, there were approximately 12,996 murders in the United States. A staggering 67 percent (8,775) of those murders were committed with a firearm. In a given year approximately 44,000 citizens are treated in hospitals from a firearm wound.

The time for change is long overdue. Firearms are a bane to our existence. Too many deaths have resulted from their use. We can not and should not tolerate any more. Sign this petition to ban private ownership of firearms. Sign this petition to save lives; to save our future.
