In the past year or so, there has been a troubling trend in our country. Mutiple people, in multiple parts of the country have been arrested, fined, and in one extreme case, had their property destroyed by city officials WITHOUT DUE PROCESS, for the simple and formerly patriotic act of growing their own food. There used to be a time when victory gardens were encouraged by our government, both local and federal, but it seems that we are at a place now where local governments are discouraging such acts, whether intentionally or by way of arcane zoning and housing laws.

Please consider passing a law that would protect this basic human right on a federal level.
